For players interested in connecting their Pokémon Go account to Pokémon Home, it looks like the only way you’ll be doing is by connecting your Nintendo Account. You’ll be able to use this to transfer your Pokémon between the systems. So long as you already have a Nintendo Account, you should be good to go. Creating one is pretty simple. It’s important to note that if you want to transfer any Pokémon to Pokémon Go from Home, they will not be able to leave. They will permanently remain on your mobile game.

How to create a Nintendo account

Suppose you need to create a Nintendo account, head on over to the Nintendo website to get started. There will be a tab on the upper right-hand corner of the browser page to choose to log-in or sign-up. When you sign-up, you will need to provide your date of birth, a nickname for the account, e-mail address, password, gender, your country, and the time zone you’re in. Once you have all that information and verify your account through your e-mail, you can access your new Nintendo account.

Pokemon Go Nintendo Switch Game

When you’re ready to use your Nintendo account with Pokémon Go, you will need to use your account’s e-mail and password to connect it to Pokémon Go. After you’ve done that, wait for the information to verify, and then you should have the connection ready to go.

You can use Pokémon Home on your Nintendo switch to transfer your Pokémon. To send Pokémon back and forth from home, you need to utilize the Pokémon Home transporter. The transporter requires a certain amount of energy for it to work, and if you don’t have enough, you need to wait for more to come. If you don’t want to wait, you can always visit the Pokémon Go in-game shop to purchase more energy.
